Cardiac Rehabilitation is a monitored
exercise and education program for
patients with heart problems or disease.
The program offers guidance on the
effects of heart disease, healthy
exercise habits and diet, smoking
cessation support and stress-reduction
techniques.
At Rawlins County
Health Center, three phases are offered to
guide patients through different
recovery stages:
Phase I is completed
during the hospital stay, while Phase II
involves 12 weeks of outpatient
sessions. Phase III is an ongoing
maintenance program. The cardiac rehab
team includes physicians, nurses,
dieticians and respiratory therapists.
